PROGRAMS
Art Docent
LWSD curriculum does not include Art. Audubon PTSA offers an Art Docent program where parent volunteers can step up to teach/assist with art lessons in class. As an art docent you can share your creative and artistic talents with the students. There will be plenty of help and lesson plans available to use. You will be working with your fellow art docents in your class and can cover one art lesson every month.
Birthday Book Club
A great way to celebrate your birthday in a lasting way with a book donation to Audubon's library.
Ms. Reinardy will send a book club form that you can fill, and work with your child to select a book from the book list.
Extended Classes
Audubon PTSA provides several after school enrichment classes called extended classes for students such as chess, martial arts, sketching, all sport, etc. Extended classes are offered in October and February. Resgistrations will be online and information will be provided via enews and on the PTSA website.
Staff Appreciation
To express our gratitude, the Audubon PTSA treats our teachers and staff to special breakfasts and lunches throughout the school year. We also acknowledge staff birthdays and events during Teacher Appreciation Week as part of our Staff Appreciation efforts.
Summer Playdates
Meet and play with other Audubon students and families. Summer Meet & Play begins mid July and is held once every week. Check our PTSA calendar for dates or subscribe to our enews.
Walk To School Month
Redmond SchoolPool is an initiative by the Redmond City to promote benefits of walking, staying fit, and staying safe on the roads. During the Walk to School month students are encouraged to walk, bike, carpool, or ride the bus.
Yearbook
Audubon Yearbook is a favorite annual student keepsake! A yearbook is a delightful memory book put together by PTSA that captures the essence of a particular school year or time period. It's chock-full of photos, stories, and special moments, offering a wonderful way to look back and relive the experiences and the people who made them memorable.
Emergency Preparedness
Audubon PTSA funds and supports emergency preparedness for each student at our school.
Room Parents
Room parents play a crucial role in supporting both classroom teachers and the school community. They are responsible for organizing classroom parties, ensuring that classroom volunteer opportunities and expectations are clear, coordinating teacher recognition and appreciation efforts, and creating a welcoming and connected atmosphere for the families in the class
EZ Grants
An EZ grant is a funding request for a project, program, equipment, or supplies, which would be covered by PTSA funds allocated in the EZ Grant budget. These grants can be given to individual teachers or entire departments/grades. The purpose of EZ grants is to support requests that align with the mission of Audubon PTSA, enhance the curriculum, and contribute to the dynamic learning environment at Audubon Elementary.
