INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

Mark your calendars! Let’s get together and celebrate the amazing diversity of our community. PTSA invites you to join us for the International Festival. It's the most popular PTSA event every year. Families can come and visit host tables and learn about the rich culture and diversity that we have amongst Audubon families, learn interesting parts of different countries, enjoy food from different parts of the world, and have a good time outdoors. Admission is free. 

 

Would you like to be a country host? 

Country hosts will be provided with a spot to showcase your country. You can share facts, culture, history, food, artifacts from your country. Parents can form groups to host or indicate interest and we will connect you with other families from your country to put up a host table together.

Career Day
 
 

We’re so happy to have a career day at Audubon!! We are looking for parents that are willing to come to school and explain (or demonstrate) about their career. Please contact Lilach (lilach.geppert@gmail.com) for more details or if you want to take part in this special project.

We are still looking to fill in the position of President, Secretary, and Fundraising on next year's PTSA Board!

 

The PTSA is representative of the Audubon community and we need many helping hands to carry out the plans of the board every year. Please reach out to us if any of these positions is exciting to you. PTSA is well supported with resources and know-hows, you will find plenty of help. Email nomcomm2023@audubonptsa.org for questions/convey interest.

 

More details about the positions:

 

President - Someone who likes to be organized and is passionate about student programs will be great for this role. Your main responsibilities will include overseeing the PTSA goals for next year and being a good team leader. You will be involved with school PTSA and also connect with LW council PTA. This role requires 10-12 hours commitment every month. 

 

Secretary - The Secretary provides the vital record keeping functions for the PTSA. They attend and record minutes for both Boards meetings and General PTSA meetings, handle correspondence regarding any PTSA meetings and keep attendance records. This position is perfect for someone who likes to plan their calendar ahead, enjoys writing, and has the ability to summarize well.  The amount of hours spent per is 5 hours per month (including Board meetings and General PTSA meetings).

 

Fundraising - The VP of Fundraising raises the funds for the PTSA through fun school events, as well as smaller behind the scene efforts to raise money, like company matching mail reminders, volunteer hour matching reminders.  This position is an opportunity to be creative in finding ways to raise money. It is a big job, but very rewarding! This position requires presence at school and the overall time commitment for this position is 2-3 hours per week in Aug/Sep and in April/May.

What is Audubon PTSA?

 

   

Audubon PTSA is a non-profit parent volunteer group. We work with the Audubon Elementary school to bring a fuller school experience for our kids. We do that by bringing enrichment programs for our kids, providing funding support for school for various learning programs, and keeping families connected with our community events. We engage in activities throughout the school year in creating a welcoming and inclusive school community.
