Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Audubon Elementary!

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities. We're putting together our PTSA team and need your help! Lots of areas you can help from coordinating to helping, enrichment to advocacy, we have a role for you. Time commitments can range from helping out for a few hours at one of our events, or spending a few hours over a week helping plan and run an event. No matter how much time you have we can help find a job for you!

Here is the message from LWSD Volunteer Program Supervisor

Hello Volunteers. Welcome to a new school year! We are so happy to have our students back in our schools.

I’m sure many of you have questions about Governor Inslee’s vaccination mandate regarding volunteers. As of October 18, volunteers in our schools will have to be vaccinated. We are working on a process for you to demonstrate proof of vaccination and for us to add that information into our volunteer database, so you only have to show it once.

Piloting process to show proof of vaccination: We are starting to pilot a way for volunteers to come to the Resource Center to show proof of vaccination. We will be working with small groups of volunteers until we feel that we are ready to scale up. We have a lot of volunteers so this process will possibly take a long time. We will keep you posted on our progress.

Volunteer current access: Volunteers are allowed in the building, but not in the classroom or shared learning spaces. There are some district programs/services that can’t be performed without volunteer support. We will be allowing these volunteers to continue to support our students and will prioritize having them show proof of vaccination: volunteer coaches, practicum/intern placements, LINKS Lunch Buddy, AVID tutors and TEALS tutors. We will work with schools who have upcoming Vision and Hearing Screenings so they can have the volunteers that they need.
